CDR Tools Front End is a useful program that allows you to record CDs, whether they are to contain data, audio, or mixed information.
The program is very easy to use - all the mentioned options are available from the main menu. In order to create ISO files, you use the "Create CD image" option, wherein you can also adjust many parameters - such as whether to create a bootable CD image, create ISO from a single folder or path list, record a CD after creating the ISO image, etc. There is also an option called "Visual ISO" that allows you to drag and drop files or folders, making up an image visually.
When you extract audio CD tracks, you can set the read speed, output format, audio quality, and more. The option "Specific and initial tasks" allows you to scan SCSI bus for devices, view audio disc tracks table, and other options.
Besides utilizing CDR Tools from Windows, you can utilize it from the MS-DOS prompt with the following commands: CDRECORD, MKISOFS, CDDA2WAV, READCD, and ISOINFO. The latest version of CDR Tools FE is 1.5, and it now supports ogg and mp3 audio formats.
